Westchester’s Recall Plus® Consumer Goods policy protects clients from financial losses in the event of a recall, and works with clients to prevent such incidents from happening. Coverages are made-to-order, allowing policyholders to select “add-on” coverages based on their needs, what they would like, or their budget. On a primary basis, the focus is  on companies with sales up to $1 billion. Companies with sales in excess of $1 billion will be considered, with either a high self-insured retention, or on an excess basis. For consumer goods, preferred risks are finished products in the areas of appliances, electronics/electrical, clothes, furniture, household goods, children’s products, outdoor goods and products, and sports or exercise equipment and products. And the types of risks considered include:  manufacturers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
