Westchester’s Recall Plus for Component Parts insurance is designed to protect component parts manufacturers, and coverages are made-to-order, allowing policyholders to select “add-on” coverage, based on their needs, what they would like, or their budget. MINIMUMS / LIMITS

  • Limits as low as $50,000
  • Minimum premium of $1,000
  • $5,000 minimum SIR for a $1MM primary limit
  • $5 million in limits available on a primary or excess basis. Additional capacity may be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Voluntary, involuntary and mandatory stock recoveries, market withdrawals and/or recalls
  • Up to $5MM in limits available

PREFERRED CLASSES

On a primary basis, our focus is on companies with sales of up to $1 billion. Companies with sales in excess of $1 billion will be considered, with either a high self-insured retention, or on an excess basis. Preferred risks include component parts used in the general manufacturing, automotive, and aviation industries. Risks considered include: manufacturers, importers, distributors, exporters, and wholesalers of component parts. And with regard to the automotive and aviation industry, only tier 1-4 suppliers will be considered. Medical implants can be considered, but only if the medical costs associated with the replacement of the product can be excluded.

  • Finished products (completely manufactured products which are ready for sale and delivery to the marketplace) which fall under consumer goods
