In this hands-on workshop, Brian Ransom will demonstrate many of the throwing, hand-building and assembling techniques he uses in creating his unique sounding ceramic sculptures and musical instruments. During this workshop participants will have the opportunity to make and tune their own instruments! Mr. Ransom will discuss clay bodies, firing techniques (particulary vapor-firing), and both formal and informal sculpture processes he utilizes in his sounding ceramics.
