Full Circle Women’s Health is offering a quick and painless bone density screening using GE’s Achilles Express. This sonographic test evaluates bone density in the ankle which correlates with spine and hip bone density and provides an efficient way to identify those who need further evaluation. This information, along with other factors, helps healthcare providers gauge your risk of osteoporosis fracture.
At Full Circle Women’s Health, we will educate you as to the most effective calcium supplements and how they should be taken, best calcium-rich foods, and best exercises to increase bone strength.
Osteoporosis is often called the silent disease”. There are rarely signs until a lot of bone has been lost. Measuring bone density is the only way to diagnose osteoporosis.
