On July 11, 2009 the Bedford Historical Society Invites You to Join Us for Cocktails & Light Fare to Commemorate the 230th Anniversary of the Burning of Bedford by the British.
The event will be held at the "Commanding Heights" - one of the two highest points in Bedford where sentries were posted in 1779 to watch for the enemy. Cocktails are from 6:30 to 9:00 PM and there will be a Revolutionary War Re-enactment at dusk.
