Teatown’s monthly environmental discussion group continues this month with a fascinating presentation featuring Eric Sanderson, Ph.D., Project Director of the Mannahatta Project, and Associate Director of the Living Landscapes Program, Wildlife Conservation Society. Using cutting edge technology to map history with GPS precision and image-making borrowed from the video game industry, Dr. Sanderson created a detailed, scientific reconstruction of Manhattan in 1609. He hopes to foster an appreciation for the remnants of the natural world, to encourage people to work harder to preserve them. Pre-registration required. Free. Adults.
