Realtors Address White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations

Two prominent area Realtors® will talk about the State of Real Estate at the June Meeting of the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations.

White Plains, NY. May 26, 2008. Associate Broker, Mike Graessle of Prudential Rand and Peter Bell, President of Balch Buyers Realty, each bring over three decades of experience and unique perspectives to the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations (WPCNA) meeting in June, which will focus on real estate in the White Plains. The meeting is at
7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Education House at 5 Homeside Lane in White Plains, NY. Admission is free and audience participation is encouraged.

Mike Graessle was the President of Nelson Vrooman Real Estate in White Plains until its recent acquisition by Prudential Rand Realty, the largest Hudson Valley brokerage. He is a former White Plains Planning Commissioner, a post he relinquished to his Deputy, Sue Habel, when he joined Nelson Vrooman six years ago. Highly regarded for his expertise in zoning, planning, and real estate, Mr. Graessle will talk about "The Changing Outlook in White Plains Real Estate." Graessle, whose firm is seller-oriented, is expected to emphasize the impact of the nationwide economic downturn and the sub-prime mortgage debacle.

In contrast, Peter Bell sees today's low mortgage rates, lower home prices, and larger inventory as an opportunity for buyers. Bell's firm, Balch Buyers Realty in Mamaroneck, is an exclusive buyer's brokerage, which takes no listings, serving only buyers. The NY media's go-to guy for real estate, Bell said in an interview "The economy, which will right itself in a few months, is a concern for real estate, not a crisis. The crisis is the impact of global warming!" Mr. Bell, who is also President of the newly-formed Hudson Valley Energy Consultants, will talk about "Energy Audits: Save Money, Save the Planet."

Mr. Graessle and Mr. Bell will both take related questions from the audience, and a lively exchange is anticipated.

The WPCNA, an apolitical non-governmental organization, provides a citywide forum on education, safety, health, government, the environment, and open space. Its members are the neighborhood associations dedicated to preserving and improving the quality of life in White Plains. Its website is www.wpcna.org.

Prudential Rand Realty, Inc., headquartered in
New City, NY, was founded in 1984 and is the dominant real estate brokerage in the Greater Hudson Valley with 18 offices and more than 800 sales associates serving Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties. The Rand website is www.prudentialrand.com.

Balch Buyers Realty, Inc. in Mamaroneck, NY is the leading buyer's brokerage for Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Fairfield counties. The Balch website is www.buynyhomes.com. A Balch affiliate, Hudson Valley Energy Consultants, Inc., provides energy audits, counseling, and State energy incentive programs to help home owners "go green."
