The Westchester Community for Humanistic Judaism invites you to view and discuss the film "The Optimists".

This documentary was 20 years in the making and tells the story of how 50,000 Bulgarian Jews were rescued from the Holocaust . Jacky Comforty, the producer and writer of the film, is of Bulgarian Jewish descent. His grandfather and extended family were among the Bulgarian Jews destined for the death camps until some brave individuals took action.
