Starting Feb. 6th through March 10th, the work of Japanese painter Yoshiko Nakanishi of White Plains will be exhibited for sale at Full Circle Gallery, Gifts & Gourmet at 1241 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. Opening reception is Feb 11th from 4 to 6pm, all are invited.
Yoshiko studied brush art under Michele Mozian from 2001, and became a member of the Oriental Brush Artist Guild in 2003. Her paintings were exhibited at the O.B.A.G’s show at the Hammond museum in April 2005 and at the National Art Club in NYC in October 2005. She uses traditional Japanese brush and ink on rice paper, a style known “Suiboku Ga,” as well as employing mixed media for expressing nature in a contemporary style.
