6 p.m.Slonim HouseFREEEvelyn Leong, Associate Dean of Studies at Sarah Lawrence College, will address current issues in Asian American feminism and the context in which Asian American women participate in the international feminist movement. She will discuss the Asian American feminist agenda, who developed it, who is most often represented, and who is marginalized. Leong’s work is focused on issues of gender, ethnicity, class, and representation. She will look at different areas where Asian American feminism is active, including political activism, visual arts, and literature. Leong earned an M.A. in women's history from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.A. in arts and culture from the Bard Graduate Center. For more information please call (914) 395-2412.
