The Westchester County Center is located at 198 Central Avenue in White Plains, at the junction of Route 119 (Tarrytown Road) and the Bronx River Parkway. Young people ages 15 to 20 will rock the house when eight of the finest bands in the metropolitan area vie for first place at Westchester's biggest and best arena during the third annual Battle of the Bands Saturday night, January 14, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
From 7:30 p.m. to midnight, eight bands that were chosen from dozens of audition tapes will perform on the stage in the Main Hall in front of a live audience. Judging will be done by a panel consisting of staff from the parks department, professionals from the music industry, and prizes will be awarded to the winning band.
Admission is $3 per person and I.D. is required for entry. Refreshments will be available for sale throughout the evening. Parking at the County Center lot is $4.
The Battle of the Bands is sponsored by Westchester County Parks and the Department of DWI/Public Safety, Friends of Westchester County Parks, Inc., Sam Ash Music Store, Prime Time Studios, and The PEAK World Class Rock Radio 107.1.
