On Thursday, December 1, 2005, Traveler’s Rest restaurant, Route 100, Yorktown Heights, will present a special evening of dinner and cocktails to benefit Support Connection Inc., a Yorktown-based not-for-profit organization offering free, confidential support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
The event will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It will include a cocktail hour beginning at 6:00, a full-course dinner, and open bar. There will be also be music and a raffle. There will be information on display regarding Support Connection’s free support services for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, and cancer survivors will speak about their own personal stories of courage and strength.
All proceeds will be donated to Support Connection. Founded in 1996, their mission is to provide emotional, social and educational support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The support provided enables women to help each other and empowers them to become their own healthcare advocates.
Requested donation is $65 per person. Reservations are required; please call Support Connection at 914-962-6402 no later than November 21, 2005.
