Social Skills Group For Children With Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) (5:00PM - 5:45PM) Barbara Farkas MD, is starting a group of 3 to 6 children, aged 6-12, with PDD to work specifically on learning the appropriate social skills needed for making friends, working with others and appreciating the feelings of their family and peers in everyday interactions. The goal is to teach the children skills that will help them integrate well into everyday life.
This group will meet
for 45 minutes every Monday evening (from 5-5:45pm) for six weeks
(4/28, 5/5, 12, 19, 26, 6/2). Children will be pre-screened in a 15 minute interview prior to acceptance into the group. Cost for the series is $550 per child.
Dr. Farkas is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with experience working with children and adolescents in the PDD spectrum. She has run numerous clinics/unit which have provided social skills groups as well as parent groups that target this population. She currently works at a school for special education with a high population of children with autistic spectrum disorders.

The Scene Stealers present their 2008 adult production of Biloxi Blues written by Neil Simon and directed by David Cheris. Biloxi Blues is the story of Eugene, an 18 year old young man from New York City who joins the Army in the 1940's during the final years of World War II. He is sent to Biloxi, Mississippi for boot camp where he encounters an array of other young men who bring all new experiences to the table. Among Eugene's major goals are to fall in love, loose his virginity, and NOT die.
