Where can you get a good home-made donut in Westchester?

Last night we were watching Alton Brown on the Food Network driving through St. Louis, which is supposedly famous for good family-owned home-made donut shops, going from place to place and testing out the local donuts.

There was a coffee shop in Queens, near where I worked in the 1980s, that sold home-made donuts. They were crisp, frshly baked and delicious. Having a donut and a coffee from that place was a heavenly moment.

I've lived here in Westchester since 1993 and have never found a place like that. All we have are Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kremes, all of which are too artificial and airy for me.

Is there any small family-owned bakery or coffee shop in all of Westchester that makes good fresh home-made donuts? I'm willing to drive quite a distance for some. anyoen know of any such places anymore? There just have to be some somewhere. Where do you get your favorite donuts from?

Over 30,000 visitors come here a month and not one of them can recommend a good donut shop? Over 100,000 visitors have come and gone and no recommendations?

Is there not one wholesome homemade donut shop left in the whole county? Have tasteless air-filled Dunkin Donuts pastries overcome us all?

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, once Schult'z's in Armonk sold out all that is left is Dunkin.

I recommend Donuts Plus on Broadway in Valhalla. The Boston Creme donuts are excellent!.
