Canadian Music And Dance Coming To Valhalla
Valhalla, NY - Westchester Community College hosts Grand Dérangement (Acadian music and step-dance) on Saturday, February 18 at 8:00 p.m. in the Academic Arts Theatre.
The group is eclectic in its musical approach, fusing various sources of inspiration including French music, Celtic music, rock, folk, and Broadway musicals. The rhythms in the compositions of Daniel LeBlanc (guitar, violin) and Briand Melanson (drums, percussion) are frenzied, and the dancers are quite captivating.
Tickets are $22 (general admission), $20 (students and seniors), and $16 (children under 13). For tickets and information about the college’s many cultural events, phone the Office of Cultural Affairs at 914-606-6262 or visit the college website at www.sunywcc.edu.
