Port Chester Nursing Announces Director Appointment
Port Chester, NY - Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre has appointed Curvie McMurray, of Tarrytown, as Therapeutic Recreation Director.
Mr. McMurray comes to the facility with extensive experience in therapeutic recreation, having held previous positions in Westchester-area nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
Mr. McMurray is a professional musician who received a Master of Arts degree in music therapy from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from New Jersey City University. Mr. McMurray is integrating his music background into the therapeutic recreation program at Port Chester Nursing in a significant way, recognizing the value music has on patients recovering from surgery and illness.
Mr. McMurray states, "I am extremely pleased to be working for Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. I look forward to developing and implementing a range of new and exciting music-related programs which will be focused on motivating patients toward recovery and providing a wonderful outlet for social stimulation, stress reduction and quality of life."
In addition to his music background, Mr. McMurray is a certified life coach, triathete and marathon runner, and publishes books for children.
