Nutrition And Wellness Center Expands In Mt Kisco
Mt. Kisco, NY - Dina Khader of the The Dina Khader Center, is proud to announce the expansion of her nutrition, well being and health practice.
The Khader Center currently offers weight loss and weight gain advice, supplement support and herb support with advice on nutrition for overall health and well being. At Dina’s new Center, she will be offering all of this plus an extended list of services with the hires of her new nutritional, emotional health and yoga experts.
Dominick Lombardo MS, CNS, a certified clinical nutritionist, will deal specifically with the weight issues pertaining to teens aged middle school through college. He will focus on both weight loss for better health and weight gain for increased stamina and ultimate performance. Mr. Lombardo will also guide teens through the proper nutritional supplements that they can be enjoying for better support of their nutrition and fitness regime.
The new therapists at The Khader Center will deal with a number of emotional health issues for teens and adults as well as eating disorders. Suna Senman-Lane, LMSW, CSW will treat problems that arise specifically for adolescents like depression, teen suicide, eating disorders and ADD; Part of her focus will be to provide therapy along with nutritional supplements to help teens stay off prescription medications, to deal with ailments that can often be treated with natural remedies. Along with the nutrition assistance, a well rounded program is created to help young teens.
Joan Jablow, APMHND, BC is a psychiatric and nurse practitioner whose focus is on adult emotional health. She is an expert in helping those with personality disorders to move in the right direction without a litany of prescription medicines; a main focus of her practice is to figure out exactly what medicines work best with nutritional supplements, so that patients can start to feel their best.
Dr. Erika Schwartz will be consulting with patients who are interested in bio-identical hormone therapies, to evaluate their needs, risk factors and whether it’s right for them or not. Dr. Schwartz is a leading national expert in the fields of bio-identical hormone therapies, wellness and true disease prevention. She takes the groundbreaking stance that people’s lives don’t have to change just because their hormones do.
Joe Somodi, our yoga expert, will focus his practice on breathing techniques to help patients achieve a sense of spiritual well being and physical comfort. He teaches his students energy management by conveying the importance of breath, physical stability and relaxation, and how these influence the state of the mind. Through his practice of Reiki 2, Joe will help support patients with various illnesses such as cancer, improving their energy and stamina.
Eva Vauhan, certified in massage and reflexology is an expert in these areas. She will focus on patients’ points of muscle discomfort and pain and bring some relief to those with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular malady or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress injury and illness. Reflexology is a holistic, non-invasive therapy.
Of course Dina Khader will still work with her adult patients reach their optimal health and weight through good nutrition and supplement support as well as help her patients who need illness/disease support such as those with cancer, diabetes or high blood pressure. Ms. Khader has helped many patients with certain illnesses like these, with the frequency of herbs, prescribed to work along with traditional medications. She also has guided patients towards the proper foods to be eating that work with and support their prescription medicines. Much of what Dina directs at The Khader Center is done so well, through “health technology.” For her weight loss clients, the Center implements blood/geno-type testing, where through a simple blood test, they can describe which foods patients should or should not be eating in order to achieve weight loss. Also in place, is a software program that just with the touch of one’s hand on a hand cradle can determine which organs of the body may be “out of balance,” and which supplements and/or herbs can help patients achieve better balance and an improved quality of life. She will continue and expand upon these wonderful offerings at the new Center.
