Peekskill, NY - The Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce will honor four of its members at the 31st Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 7pm. The event will be held at The Mansion at Colonial Terrace, 119 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.

The chamber will be honoring D. Bertoline & Sons Inc. as Business of the Year and Mike Dardano as Volunteer of the Year. The Kutter Group LLC will be receiving the Chairman’s Award and Croton Summerfest will receive the Quality of Life Award.

“We are delighted to be honoring these four chamber members. They each represent the best our region has to offer and are emblematic of what it means to be a member of the chamber. They each give back in their own distinctive ways to make our community a better place,” said Deborah Milone, Executive Director of the Chamber.

D. Bertoline & Sons Inc. will be honored as Business of the Year for its more than 80 year history of success, its ability to change with the times and for being the last remaining beer distributor in Westchester County. The family-owned business points to its customer service as the reason for its successful history.

Mike Dardano, of Buzz Potential, will be honored as Volunteer of the Year for his continuing volunteer efforts at Support Connection (breast cancer support group), Peekskill Celebration, Peekskill’s Downtown Marketing Group and the Business Council of Westchester. Dardano uses his marketing skills to help each organization to present themselves in their best light and he serves as the chairman of the Council’s Megamixer.

Jim and Aisha Kutter of the Kutter Group will be receiving the Chairman’s Award for their efforts to redesign and re-launch the chamber’s website. The Chairman’s Award is presented to the person or business who has made a significant positive impact on the chamber. The Kutter Group is a web design and maintenance firm.

Croton Summerfest will be receiving the Quality of Life Award. It is the first time the event has received such major recognition for its 25 years of presenting the much anticipated and beloved community event. Summerfest, held the first weekend in June, serves to reconnect residents and businesses.
