Join me for this. It will be a special evening!

In honor of Women’s History Month, Deborah Brenner, author of Women of the Vine®: Inside the World of Women who Make, Taste, and Enjoy Wine (Wiley & Sons) will be a featured speaker at Morton’s The Steakhouse during their Women in Business Series, Wednesday, March 30th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the White Plains location. The event will benefit the Women’s Enterprise Development Center, Inc. (WEDC), a not-for-profit microenterprise development program formed to help women achieve economic self-sufficiency through small business development.

Brenner is the founder of Women of the Vine, LLC. Deborah formed this trailblazing new wine company while writing Women of the Vine® as a celebration of wine and women. The company is proud to partner with Farm Aid and support keeping America’s family farmers on the land.

Deborah will talk about the women who’ve made an impact in the U.S. wine industry, including winemakers, entrepreneurs, and educators, touching upon the challenges and stereotypes they’ve encountered along the way as women in a traditionally male-dominated industry.  The topics of wine and gender are a backdrop for the book’s larger messages that apply to any profession: choosing the right career, overcoming challenges and achieving work-life balance. “After interviewing all these great women in wine and hearing about how much blood, sweat and tears goes into farming the land and making a bottle of wine, I ditched corporate America and was compelled to form Women of the Vine,” says Deborah.  “I knew with my marketing and business development background, I could champion these women better by going into the business myself and we could sell more wine collectively under one brand.”
