Mt. Kisco, NY - County Parks Commissioner Joseph A. Stout announced the opening dates and schedules of operation for all county-owned swimming pools.
The pools at Saxon Woods Park in White Plains, Sprain Ridge and Tibbetts Brook Parks in Yonkers, Willson’s Waves at Willson’s Woods Park in Mount Vernon and Playland Park in Rye will be open on weekends beginning Saturday, June 14.
Beginning Thursday, June 26, all county pools will be open daily through Labor Day. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with no admission after 6 p.m.
Swimming fees at Saxon Woods, Sprain Ridge, Tibbetts Brook and Willson’s Waves for Park Pass holders are $5.75 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under, $3.75 for seniors weekdays only. Parking is included in admission fees. A Westchester County resident Park Pass is required for entry to all four pools.
Fees at Playland pool are $4 for adults, $3 for children and $3.75 for seniors; additional parking fees apply.
A Season Swim Pass is available for families, individuals and seniors citizens who are Westchester County resident Park Pass holders only. The pass can be purchased and used at all swimming pools except Playland.
Stout said the beaches at Glen Island in New Rochelle and Playland Park in Rye, which have been open on weekends, will also open on a seven-day schedule beginning June 26. Croton Beach in Croton-on-Hudson will remain open on weekends and holidays only. All facilities close after Labor Day.
