 Mt. Kisco, NY - Have some fun in the sun while staying cool at Westchester County pools this July during the Family Fun in the Sun event series.
Featuring special events held at four different pools, this series offers fun for people of all ages to enjoy.
Each pool will be decorated with themed décor from opening at 10 a.m. through closing at 6:30 p.m., with special games and activities during the afternoon. And, there’ll be floats and inner-tubes for your aquatic enjoyment throughout the day.
On Sunday, July 13, Tibbetts Brook Pool hosts Pirate Day, a real treasure for the whole family. The event will feature games, prizes and entertainment from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Just watch out for the swashbucklers!
Willson’s Woods Pool hosts Beach Day on Wednesday, July 16. Enjoy all the fun of the beach with fun games and prizes featured from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. As an added treat, “pied piper” T-Bone, a local favorite, will visit Willson’s Waves s to provide musical entertainment starting at 1 p.m. He will get your kids involved with costumes, dancing and kids’ games.
On Sunday, July 27, the circus comes to town as Saxon Woods Pool hosts Carnival Day. Along with games and concessions, kids can have their faces painted between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and enter a raffle to win free tickets to Playland Park.
Say “Aloha!” at the final event of this series as Sprain Ridge Pool hosts Hawaiian Day on Sunday, July 27. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the event features hula-dancing, Hawaiian music and a “biggest splash” contest off the pool’s diving board. You can also see just “how low can you go” in the limbo contest.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concession stand at all events.
A Westchester County Park Pass is required for entry. Admission is $5.75 for adults, $4 for children, and $3.75 for senior citizens with a Westchester County Senior Citizen Park Pass (on weekdays only).

Tibbetts Brook Park is located on Midland Avenue in Yonkers and can be reached via the Cross County Parkway to the Yonkers Avenue exit.
Willson’s Woods is located on East Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon and can be reached via the Hutchinson River Parkway to the Lincoln Avenue exit.
Saxon Woods Pool is located on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains and can be reached via the Hutchinson River Parkway to exit 23S. Proceed east on Mamaroneck Avenue to park entrance.
Sprain Ridge Pool is located on Jackson Avenue in Yonkers and can be reached via the Sprain Brook Parkway to the Jackson Avenue exit.
