Mt. Kisco, NY - Teens can beat the summer doldrums as they socialize, work on athletic skills, and stay physically active in a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment when the county’s largest community center, the Westchester County Center, opens its doors for Open Gym nights for 6th to 12th graders.
During the program, teens can have fun in air-conditioned comfort while they shoot hoops, play chess or other board games or compete in traditional recreational activities like foosball, Noc hockey or ping pong. Teens will be supervised by adult staff of the County Parks Department. Admission and parking at the County Center lot are free.
Open Gym will run Mondays through Fridays, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., beginning Monday, June 30, and will run through Friday, August 8; there will be no Open Gym on Friday, July 4 and Wednesday, July 16.
The Open Gym program is sponsored by Westchester County Parks.
