Krav Maga (krahv muh-GAH) is the official self-defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces, and is required training for scores of law enforcement agencies in the United States. Over 500 law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, and local levels have adopted this system. Thanks to the efforts of Krav Maga Worldwide, thousands of civilians nationwide and many celebrities on the screens in Hollywood now embrace the system. Celebrities such as Brendan Frazer for his upcoming sequel “Mummy 3”, Shannon Elizabeth, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Lopez, who used her Krav Maga training in a featured segment of her movie Enough, have all trained with Krav Maga Worldwide. Also, the recently popular television shows Human Weapon, Fight Science and Fight Quest have also showcased Krav Maga.

Darren Levine holds a 6th degree black belt in Krav Maga, making him one of the most respected and highest ranked Krav Maga belt holders in the world and the highest ranked Krav Maga instructor outside the State of Israel.  He brought Krav Maga to the United States from Israel in 1981 after an intensive training period with Imi Lichtenfeld, the Founder and Grandmaster of Krav Maga, and other top Krav Maga instructors.

Levine has extensive experience training law enforcement and military anti-terrorist units in the U.S. and abroad. He is also a Legal Use of Force Expert and lectures to law enforcement officers in the areas of “Tactics” and “Use of Force.” Krav Maga Worldwide and Darren Levine have received many law enforcement and military awards and letters of appreciation to date. In addition, Darren Levine is an Assistant Head Deputy for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is assigned to the Target Crimes Division and supervises the Crimes Committed Against Peace Officers Section. This special trial unit is dedicated to prosecuting violent crimes committed against police officers, including the murders of on-duty law enforcement.
