 White Plains, NY - The Club @ 1133 Sports and Fitness presents a free clinic and presentation on a major breakthrough in sports training, the Flexor Golf Training Method, featuring Skip Latella, MS, Flexor Swing Sports, on Thursday, July 9th at 1133 Westchester Avenue, White Plains.
Skip Latella, world-renowned sports physiologist, author, trainer and founder of Flexor Swing Sports, will be working with the staff at the Club @1133 to offer a training program featuring the patented Flexor method. The Flexor Golf Training System is an innovative new sports training program designed for golfers, scientifically proven to improve performance. Skip has worked with hundreds of golf professionals and instructors, Olympic athletes, and golf programs at leading universities, including Duke, Notre Dame, Yale, Dartmouth, and New Mexico State. Skip was a featured presenter at the 2009 PGA Golf Education Conference and Exposition in Orlando, Fla.
The Club@1133 Sports & Fitness features an interactive golf simulator that allows players to test their mettle on more than 36 famous courses around the world. It can be booked for corporate and private parties or used for instruction to improve technique. The facility also includes weight training and cardiovascular exercise rooms. A spa will soon open, offering facials and skin treatments. Corporate wellness programs for companies and regular seminars on health and fitness topics are also offered. The club is open from 5:30 am to 8 pm, Monday through Thursday; 5:30 am to 7 pm, Friday, and Saturday and Sunday by appointment.

The Club @ 1133 is owned and operated by the Callaway Sports Group, founded in 2005, by Mike and Tiffany Callaway. The company also owns and operates the Club @ 800 Squash and Fitness at 800 Westchester Avenue where there is a comprehensive fitness center with two international squash courts and private and group lessons. The Callaway Sports Group also runs squash programs for schools, such as Hackley in Tarrytown, Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich and Rye High School. The Callaways are from England where Mike played squash for the University of Birmingham while earning a degree in sports science. A top ranked squash player, he has more than 20 years of experience in coaching at the highest level and is a former USA Junior Men's Coach at the World Squash Championships, coaching the team to its highest finish of seventh place in the world in 2001. He is currently one of 10 members of the U.S. Squash Coaching Certificate Advisory Panel. Reciprocal memberships are offered at the two clubs, which are both easily accessible from many areas of Westchester and Fairfield counties via 287 East and I-95.
