White Plains, NY - Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a non-sectarian, human service agency, announced that it will be a key community partner in the innovative Gramatan Village, Inc.
Based on the pioneering Beacon Hill Village in Boston, Gramatan Village will give residents of the greater Bronxville area access to services that will allow them to remain safely and confidently in their homes as they age.
“WJCS will provide Gramatan Village members with access to our programs and services including geriatric care management, home health care, respite, counseling, personal emergency response systems, and social activities at our adult day program in Mount Vernon,” explains Judy Fink, LCSW, WJCS Director of Geriatric Services. “WJCS also will be providing a van to take members shopping twice monthly. A discount for some of these services will be available to all participants.”
Gramatan Village’s membership is open to residents in the Bronxville area including zip codes 10707, 10708, and the northern part of 10552. The annual membership fee is $360/individual or $480/household. Those who join by September 30, 2008, will be able to renew their membership at this rate. Special memberships with annual fees of $100/individual or $150/household are available for those of modest means.
