White Plains, NY - Being a family caregiver to an elderly loved one is an around-the-clock job with many responsibilities. So to recognize their hard work and say “thank you,” the Family Caregiver Support Program of Westchester County’s Department of Senior Programs and Services (DSPS) is inviting all caregivers to relax at a “high tea” with tasty edibles on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Seabury at Fieldhome, 2276 Catherine St., Cortlandt Manor.
The program will include a short presentation by members of the support program on “How to Care for Yourselves as You Care for Your Loved One.”
DSPS and the Fieldhome are co-sponsors of the tea, which is being held in honor of National Family Caregivers Month. Reservations are required by calling (914) 245-9167.
