White Plains, NY - Are you a senior who needs help with home repairs? Are you concerned about your rising energy bills? If so, check out the “Home Repair and Energy Assistance Directory,” a new publication from the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services (DSPS).
The directory provides information about money-saving programs in both areas for income-eligible county residents who are 60 years and older.
Among the services listed are ones for removal or control of lead-based paint hazards in homes, repair of leaky roofs, building wheelchair ramps, fixing walkways, plumbing, weatherization, delivery of home-heating oil and low-interest loans.
The directory also lists services for residents of specific Westchester communities. For a copy of the guide call (914) 813-6300. The guide is also available on the DSPS website at www.westchestergov.com/seniors.
