New York, NY - Karen Robilotta has been appointed vice president for Human Resources at Pace University, effective immediately.
Before joining Pace, Robilotta was managing director of TD Consulting Group, where she built a training and human resource consulting firm offering organizational development consulting and executive coaching practices. Key clients in both the nonprofit and profit-making sectors included Berkeley College, Columbia University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, The College Board, and American Express and Pfizer. Previously, she worked for James E. Rocco Associates as a human resources consultant; for General Electric Capital Corporation as a program manager in compensation; for Alexander and Alexander, the insurance brokerage company; and MONY, the insurance, annuity and investment company.
“I am excited that Karen has joined our senior management team at Pace,” said Rick N. Whitfield, EdD, Executive Vice President and Treasurer and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer at Pace. “One of the most important assets, if not the most important, in any organization is the people that comprise it. As Pace’s size and complexity continues to grow, and strategic initiatives are evolved, we will need the capabilities and experiences Karen brings to Pace in order to achieve them. Karen is the right choice for Pace at this time.”
As Pace’s vice president for Human Resources, Robilotta is the Chief HR Officer of the University and plays a key role in providing strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of quality-based, integrated human resources programs for all officers, faculty, and staff. She also chairs the University’s Compensation Committee and Benefits Advisory Committee.
Robilotta earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources Management, from the State University of New York/Empire State College. She has completed Master’s coursework at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, in Adult Learning and Leadership. She is co-author of the book Coaching Culture: Hidden Profit, published in June 2006 by Insight Publishing.
