Elmsford, NY - “Spotlight on Elmsford Schools,” the District’s cable TV show, has a new format. The 30-minute show has been broadcasting informative and educational programs for parents and community for several years, but now, the program has changed its focus.
Viewers who tune in now are treated to a story hour-type show. It is part of the district’s efforts to develop literacy, and it does so in the most entertaining format possible.
Children and parents both can tune in to hear featured readers from the Elmsford School District reading their favorite books on Channel 75 every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and on Channel 76 at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
The readers on the show that is airing now are Wayne S. Harders, Principal, Dixson/Grady Schools; Lauren Scott, Elmsford PTA President; and Peter Giarrizzo, Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services
It’s not a full hour, but it’s 30 fun-packed minutes that you can share with your child and help reinforce the school district’s efforts to develop literacy.
Tune in to Greenburgh Access TV:
Channel 75 every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Channel 76 at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
