White Plains, NY - Prudential Rand Realty announced that it has acquired Nelson Vrooman Real Estate in White Plains, N.Y., a move that significantly strengthens Rand’s presence in White Plains and makes it the top real estate office in the city.
“Nelson Vrooman is a highly respected name in White Plains real estate,” said Greg Rand, a managing partner with Prudential Rand Realty. “The company has a reputation for high competence and a vast knowledge of the market. As part of the transaction, Nelson Vrooman Real Estate will vacate its location at 709 Westchester Ave. and move into Prudential Rand’s office at 1 North Broadway in White Plains. Bill Vrooman, Nelson Vrooman’s CEO and founder, and Mike Graessle, the firm’s President, will join Rand as associate brokers. Additionally, Nelson Vrooman’s 20 licensed real estate professionals will join Rand. Nelson Vrooman Real Estate was established more than 50 years ago.
Vrooman said he was attracted to Prudential Rand’s array of marketing tools and state-of-the-art technology.

Vrooman and Graessle both have a strong background in real estate and have ties to the White Plains community. Vrooman has more than 42 years of experience in real estate. He is past board chairman of the White Plains Family YMCA and past member of the White Plains Board of Ethics. Graessle has more than six years of experience in real estate, and previously served as the city’s planning commissioner.
