 Yonkers , NY - NAI Friedland Realty Inc. recently completed a long term lease deal on behalf of the Children’s Corner Learning Center, a childcare provider with several locations in the tri-state area.
Children’s Corner leased 9,000 square-feet at 1133 Westchester Avenue in White Plains, a former IBM building recently renovated by Robert Weisz and the RPW Group. The asking price was $32.50 per square foot. Friedland Executive Directors Carl Silbergleit and Ellen Benedek represented Children’s Corner in this transaction.
“1133 Westchester Avenue was still under renovation when we showed this lower level space -- there were no windows, doors, or outside play area,” explains Silbergleit. “Our many years of industry experience helped us to show the tenant the property’s potential and envision the end result. The time we spent upfront space planning allowed us to hammer out a deal with the owner in less than an hour.”
The RPW Group’s renovations on 1133 Westchester Avenue were extensive. The building now features a new lobby, fitness center, cafeteria, executive dining room, conference center, sundry shop, and concierge.
