Greenwich Hospital Leases Space In Rye Brook

Westchester Real Estate NewsRye Brook, NY - Greenwich Hospital has leased 35,000 square feet of office space at 900 King Street in Rye Brook, NY, and 16,230 square feet of outpatient medical office space at 500 West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, announced to commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Greenwich Hospital subleased the space at 900 King Street for non-clinical administrative departments from Cadbury Schweppes for a 10-year term. The lease is an expansion for Greenwich Hospital at 900 King Street, where it now occupies approximately 70,000 square feet on the first floor.  In 2007 the hospital’s administrative offices relocated to the 201,460 square foot building, which is currently owned by Brickman Associates, from 55 Holly Hill Lane in Greenwich, Conn.

At 500 West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, the hospital leased the space for an endoscopy center and medical offices. The four-story, 121,000 square-foot free-standing office building is owned by SL Green.

In both deals, Cushman & Wakefield’s Christopher O’Callaghan represented Greenwich Hospital.  Kevin Foley and Larry Ruggieri of Cushman & Wakefield represented Cadbury Schweppes in the 900 King Street sublease.

“The close proximity of 900 King Street to Greenwich Hospital and its workforce, as well as highly competitive rents, were a main factor in initially selecting this location and expanding here with a long-term lease,” said Mr. O’Callaghan. “The selection of 500 West Putnam Avenue for outpatient medical offices was also ideal because of the building’s nearness to the hospital and the excellent highway access to I-95 as well as proximity to Greenwich Avenue.”
