WJCS Clinician Recognized As Unsung Hero |

White Plains, NY - Margarita Munoz-Dummit, MD, Staff Psychiatrist at Westchester Jewish Community Services, been named an "Unsung Hero" by the Westchester Task Force on Child Abuse & Neglect.
Dr. Munoz-Dummit will be recognized for her commitment to children and families and for her dedication to alleviating the affects of abuse at the 31st Annual Unsung Heroes Luncheon later this month.
As Staff Psychiatrist at the WJCS Mount Vernon Family Mental Health Clinic, Dr. Munoz-Dummit advocates for children, especially those who have been abused and neglected. She is caring, supportive and goes above-and-beyond the normal standard to give support to parents, engage the most difficult clients and provide an atmosphere of trust and respect.
Since 1997 Dr. Munoz-Dummit has been working at the WJCS Mount Vernon Family Mental Clinic, which has been providing clinical services to children, adolescents and adults to the Mt. Vernon community for more than 50 years. In 2007 the clinic served 267 people, fifty-five percent of whom were children.
Dr. Munoz-Dummit received her BS in Bio Medical Education from CCNY and her MD in Medicine for New York Medical College.
