New York, NY - Toby Glick MS has announced the launch of ParentConfidante Special Needs Consulting. Glick, an experienced school psychologist and former Pelham CPSE Chairperson, as well as a long-time advocate for special needs children and their parents, started ParentConfidante to confidentially help families with special needs children in Westchester and Manhattan.
Toby is expert at understanding students' needs, making sure they receive the services that matter from the best providers, recommending the right schools, and answering families’ questions.
“With 30 years experience in the special needs arena, I know how hard it can be for parents when their child has or may have special needs. I know that parents want to find a trusted friend and advisor, someone to whom they can confide and rely. That’s why I started ParentConfidante.”
ParentConfidante evolved from Toby's experience as both a psychologist and CSE and CPSE Chairperson. She found that when a child was first diagnosed with special needs, parents were often overwhelmed, worried and alone. Often, they were bombarded by contradictory advice from special needs evaluators, family and friends and didn't know where to turn. She also found that even when children were receiving services, their parents were concerned that they weren't getting maximum benefit or what they really needed.
Toby realized that the parents of special needs children needed an unbiased advocate who would answer all of their questions. Glick provides expert, behind-the-scenes, confidential advice in the privacy of clients’ homes and offices. She offers a full menu of services, including help with school selection and admission, referrals to top therapists and doctors, answering questions about therapeutic evaluations, and more.
“I’m so excited that Toby launched ParentConfidante,” said Emily Glickman, President of Abacus Guide Educational Consulting, a private schools consulting firm for Westchester and NYC private schools. “Nobody offers special needs services like Toby. She’s an incredibly compassionate, intelligent woman who knows special needs inside and out.”
Glick is available for Westchester or Manhattan consultations in parents’ homes or offices. Parents can reach her at 646-300-1881 or at
