White Plains, NY - Project Lifesaver, a partnership of Westchester Jewish Community Services and the Westchester County Mental Health and Public Saferty Departments, is designed to help individuals affected with Autism and other developmental disabilities who may wander or get lost.
Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art technology, employing wristband transmitters to locate wandering and lost children and adults.
Children and adults who are eligible for Project Lifesaver through the Westchester County Initiative should:
· Have a diagnosis of Autism or other developmental disorder
· Have a history of wandering
· Live in the community with a primary caregiver who provides daily, ongoing care
· Reside in Westchester County
