Conferences On Bipolar Disorder In Children

Westchester Health NewsWhite Plains, NY - The WJCS Educational Insititute is sponsoring two upcoming lectures that are open to the public.

--The Dr. Samuel Kahn Memorial Lecture -- Bipolar Disorder in Children:  Exploring the Controversy -- will be held October 15 from 9:00 – 10:15 AM at WJCS Headquarters, 845 North Broadway, White Plains. Keynote speaker will be Candida Fink, MD, who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, with expertise in autism, pediatric bipolar disorder and mental health issues in school settings. The co-author of The Ups and Downs of Raising a Bipolar Child and Bipolar Disorder for Dummies, Dr. Fink has been featured in broadcast, print and online media and is a frequent mental health speaker for community and school-based audiences. --Resilient Youth: Helping Children Cope with Adversity is the subject of the 16th Annual Edythe Kurz Conference schedule for November 13 at 8:30 AM at Manhattanville College in Purchase. Keynote speaker will be Kenneth V. Hardy, PhD, a Professor of Family Therapy at Drexel University and also Director of the Eikenberg Institute for Relationships in New York City.
