Scarsdale Bone and Joint Specialists, PLLC, combines the decades of expertise of Drs. O. Alton Barron, Louis W. Catalano, III, and George J. O. Alton Barron, M.D., is a well-recognized shoulder, elbow, and hand surgeon who believes in treating orthopedic problems both with and without surgery. Dr. Barron is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, a Senior Attending Physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and an Attending Hand Surgeon at the CV Starr Hand Surgery Center at Roosevelt Hospital. He has written on a variety of topics in orthopedics and frequently speaks at national medical conferences. Dr. Barron has been a team physician at Fordham University since 2002 and treating doctor for the New York City Philharmonic Orchestra for the past 11 years.
Louis W. Catalano, III, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in hand, shoulder, elbow, and wrist surgery. His caring communication style enables him to get a complete picture of his patients’ complaints and address their upper extremity problems with a combination of therapies. Dr. Catalano is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Attending Surgeon in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, and Attending Hand Surgeon at the CV Starr Hand Surgery Center at Roosevelt Hospital. Also, he has been a team physician at Fordham University since 2002. His numerous publications have appeared in leading surgical publications.
George J. Zambetti, Jr., M.D. is a specialist in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, with extensive experience in knee and shoulder surgeries. Dr. Zambetti is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Assistant Attending Physician at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He is also affiliated with St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. In practice for over 25 years, Dr. Zambetti has been Fordham University’s team physician since 1978. He also serves as physician for Fordham Prep, Cardinal Hayes, Xavier, and Mount St. Michael High Schools. Dr. Zambetti’s work in sports medicine has been recognized with several awards: Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Hall of Fame, Fordham University Hall of Fame, and MSSNY Sports Medicine Physician of the Year.
