White Plains, NY - Whatever your interest or age, come to Westchester Serves Expo, June 19, at the Westchester County Center and find out how to make a difference.
Learn how you can transform your communities – and yourself – through service. Workshops on career transitioning, networking and using your skills in technology to help nonprofits. No pay, but volunteering can take you places.
“President Obama has called upon Americans to rededicate themselves to bettering their communities through volunteerism, and Westchester County government is responding,” said County Executive Andy Spano. “I encourage students, retirees, the underemployed or unemployed – anyone looking to make a difference – to drop by.”
The Expo will take place June 19 from 2-6 p.m. at the Westchester County Center, White Plains. It is co-sponsored by the Volunteer Center of United Way and the Westchester Community Foundation.

Attendees will have the chance to walk from booth to booth to meet with representatives of many Westchester-based non profit agencies. The event will also include workshops on the following:
