Westchester Concert Singers Auditions Announced |

 Pleasantville, NY - Currently in its 54th season, the Westchester Concert Singers is extending an invitation to singers in all voice parts (S, A, T, B) to become members.
In preparation for a November 9, 2008 concert, “friendly” auditions will take place on September 8th and 15th in the evening. The concert, a collaboration with the Chappaqua Orchestra, will feature Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the Vivaldi Gloria in D, and the Magnificat by Jan Zelenka. The concert will take place at the Pleasantville High School.
This will be the fourth season for the chorus’ Music Director, Mark Bailey, who also conducts the renowned Yale Russian Chorus and the New Haven Oratorio Choir and is a frequent lecturer at Lincoln Center. According to Getting to Know Pleasantville & Briarcliff Manor 2006 magazine: “Listen to just one performance of the group under his leadership, and you will return again and again to revel in [the Concert Singers’] glorious harmonies.
