Valhalla, NY - Westchester Community College will present the Moscow Ballet, performing a repertory concert of selected classical ballet favorites, on Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. in the Academic Arts Theatre.
Steeped in the highest tradition of Russian ballet excellence, this internationally acclaimed company will showcase scenes from a broad array of beloved ballet favorites including Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty. The troupe tours the U.S. and Canada every year. For 2008, chief choreographer Anatoly Emelianov (winner of the Diaghilev award) returns with his co-artistic directors, Vladimir Troshchenko (director of Odessa Ballet Theater) and Andre Litvinov (director of Moldova Ballet). The company’s dancers feature top graduates of the Perm, Vaganova, Moscow State Academic Choreographic, and Kiev schools.
