WLS 17th Annual Book And Author Luncheon

Westchester Entertainment NewsTarrytown, NY - The Westchester Library System (WLS) will hold its 17th annual Book & Author Luncheon on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, NY.

The event celebrates National Library Week and features four talented authors, Susan Choi, Andrew Gross, Dee Dee Myers, and Josh Swiller, who will discuss their newly published books. The Luncheon is sponsored by Con Edison, Entergy, and The H.W. Wilson Foundation.

“The Westchester Library System’s Book & Author Luncheon is the highlight of our National Library Week festivities,” said Siobhan A. Reardon, Director of the Westchester Library System.

“Once again, we have an outstanding lineup of authors who are gracious to share their time and talent with us. We look forward to a fabulous event.”This year’s event will be emceed by Ernie Anastos, anchor of the Fox 5 News and author of the children’s book, Ernie & The Big News. The Honorable Amy Paulin of the New York State Assembly will receive the National Library Week Recognition Award for her outstanding contributions to literacy and support of the Westchester Library System.

The Luncheon, held from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, will be followed by an author signing. Registration begins at 11:00am. Ticket prices for the Book & Author Luncheon are $100 for general admission and $150 for a Library Friend, which includes a journal listing and special invitation to an author reception at 11:15am. The authors’ books, available for purchase at the event, include:

A Person of Interest by Susan Choi: From an acclaimed novelist, an emotionally complex and riveting story of suspicion, innocence, and regret.
