Harrison, NY - Calling all Singers! This is an open invitation for all voice parts to join the Taconic Opera’s chorus for our October 16, 17, 18 & 24 performances of Verdi's Macbeth.
This will be a FULLY STAGED PRODUCTION with full orchestra and sets/costumes, in Italian with English supertitles above the stage. All lead singers and orchestra members are experienced professionals. Performances will be at Yorktown Stage in Yorktown, NY on October 16, 17,18, and in Harrison, NY, in conjunction with Harrison Friends of Opera, on October 24.
There is NO MEMBERSHIP FEE to join our company, but all singers will be required to supply their own scores and help put together their costumes.
Macbeth rivals Aida in the number of wonderful choruses it contains and is a do-not-miss opportunity for choral singers - we will have a lot of stage time! Rehearsals begin on Saturday, June 6, and continue with rehearsals every Saturday 3:00-5:00 and Wednesdays 7:00-9:00. If you have a conflict, please feel free to call and discuss your situation.
Rehearsal location:
Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints
801 Kitchawan Road (Route 134)
Ossining, NY 10562
