Westchester Entertainment NewsMt. Kisco, NY - Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers will be transformed into a big outdoor theater when “Summer Movie Madness,” Westchester County’s popular beach and pool party series, concludes on Friday, August 22 at Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers with a showing of Transformers (PG-13, 2007).

Back by popular demand, these after-hours pool and beach parties offer fun for the whole family with an old-fashioned barbecue, an outdoor movie, and swimming at all the pools. The fun begins with an all-you-can-eat barbecue of hot dogs, hamburgers, salad and more. Enjoy a dip in the pool and swim under the stars, or just float in a big tube as you watch the movie on a big screen at sundown. Bring your own blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn.
The party begins at 7 p.m.; the barbecue runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the movie begins at sundown.

Admission is $10 per person, free for children under the age of 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the party. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.

A long time ago, far away on the planet of Cybertron, a war was being waged between the noble Autobots (led by the wise Optimus Prime) and the devious Decepticons (commanded by the dreaded Megatron) for control over the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. The Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron blasted off in search of it and eventually tracked it to the planet of Earth. In Transformers, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), nicknamed Spike by his friends, finds himself in the middle of a battle that will decide the future of the human race.

“Summer Movie Madness” is sponsored by Westchester County Parks.

Saxon Woods Pool is located at 1800 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. It can be reached via the Hutchinson River Parkway, exit 23N. Head west off the exit; the park is one-quarter mile ahead on the left.
