Admission is $10 per person, free for children under age 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the event. Admission wristbands go on sale at the pool at 10 a.m. July 29 and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
The series continues with a showing of Surf’s Up (PG, 2007) on Tuesday, August 5, at Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers; and concludes with Transformers (PG-13, 2007) on Friday, August 22, at Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers. Swimming will be allowed at these events.
Flushed Away follows Roddy (voiced by Hugh Jackman), a decidedly upper-crust "society mouse" who lives the life of a beloved pet in a posh Kensington, UK flat. When a sewer rat named Sid (voiced by Shane Richie) comes spewing out of the sink and decides he's hit the jackpot, Roddy schemes to rid himself of the pest by luring him into the "whirlpool." Sid may be an ignorant slob, but he's no fool, so it is Roddy who winds up being flushed away into the bustling sewer world of Ratropolis. From the same studio that produced the Wallace & Gromit series, this movie has something for people of all ages.
