Pure Heaven At Emelin Theatre Postponed

Westchester Arts & Entertainment NewsMamaroneck, NY - Westchester’s The Emelin Theatre, Michael Bush Artistic Director, regrets to announce the postponement of Ruth Williamson’s Pure Heaven: A Party With Kay Thompson.

After two successful preview performances, Williamson, who wrote and stars in the musical evening, developed a throat virus that has rendered her unable to sing for at least six weeks. Bush and the Emelin’s board of directors have decided to postpone Pure Heaven until the fall season, November 6-23. Williamson, star of stage (La Cage Aux Folles), screen (Evan Almighty) and television (“Nip Tuck”), portrays Thompson as she imagines her returning from her “home sweet heaven” to set the record straight. Pure Heaven celebrates and examines Thompson as an under-rated yet key part of the American cultural landscape. The Emelin looks forward to presenting a complete run of Pure Heaven performances next season.

Pure Heaven ticket holders will be offered a refund or the option of using their tickets for the fall presentation. For more information regarding ticket refunds, please contact the Emelin Theatre Box Office at (914) 698-0098.
