Mt. Kisco, NY - “Summer Movie Madness” concludes with a showing of the hit film The Tale of Despereaux (2008-G) on Tuesday, August 11, at Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains.
This after-hours pool party offers an evening of fun for the family with an old-fashioned all-you-can-eat barbecue, along with a hit movie outdoors at dusk.
The party begins at 7 p.m.; the barbecue runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the movie begins at sundown. Bring your own blankets and chairs for seating on the lawn. Swimming is permitted during daylight hours only; no swimming is permitted during the movie.
Admission is $10 per person, free for children under the age of 3. A Westchester County Park Pass is not required for admission to the party. Admission wristbands go on sale the day of the event and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
Based on an award-winning 2003 novel, The Tale of Despereaux is an animated film that tells the story of a mouse named Despereaux (voiced by Matthew Broderick) on a quest to rescue a beautiful human princess (Emma Watson). Running time is 90 minutes.
