Greenburgh, NY - During November, the Greenburgh Nature Center will host a poetry workshop entitled “Learning to See: Poetic Inspirations from Nature.” Led by poet and creative writing teacher Karen Rippstein, this three-session workshop is free of charge. The workshop is recommended for ages 15 and older, and will be offered on three Saturdays, November 1, 8 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
For a multitude of artists, scientists and writers, the natural world has been the source of boundless inspiration. In this workshop, participants will let the Nature Center surroundings be inspiration, using journal writing techniques and then shaping those reflections into a poetic rhythm of lyrical language.
