Westchester Arts & Entertainment NewsPelham, NY - On June 17th at 7:30pm the Picture House presents an advance screening of CHERI.

Set in Paris at the turn of the 20th century, the film stars Michelle Pfeiffer as Léa, a retiring courtesan who unexpectedly falls in love with a much younger man.  The man’s mother, played by Kathy Bates, is a rival of Léa, and plots to separate the pair.  Director Stephen Frears (THE QUEEN, HIGH FIDELITY, DANGEROUS LIAISONS) will be present for a Q&A, hosted by Rolling Stone Magazine senior editor and film critic Peter Travers.  A wine and cheese reception will precede the screening at 7:00 p.m.

“We’re ecstatic to have a veteran director of world-class caliber present to talk about his craft and career,” said Will McCord, Producer of Film Programs.

Tickets for CHERI are $20. They are available on the Picture House website, www.thepicturehouse.org or at the Box Office.
