Tarrytown, NY - Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Paula Cole is back and better than ever. Cole will be performing songs from her new album, Courage at her upcoming show at the Tarrytown Music Hall on November 9th.
Cole just completed a string of successful live dates in select cities across the country, including recent memorable performances at New York City’s Allen Room (Home of Jazz At Lincoln Center), the Taos Solar Music Festival in New Mexico (along with Los Lobos and Michael Franti) and a stellar performance of “God Bless America” at Major League Baseball’s 78th Annual All-Star Game in San Francisco in July.
An intimate collection of songs mostly co-penned by Cole herself, Cou;rage was released on June 12th, and features guest appearances by Herbie Hancock, Chris Botti and David Foster among others. See what the press is saying about Paula Cole and Courage:
“a singer of substance and range”-- The Los Angeles Times
“her voice, rich and tremulous with more than a touch of Joni Mitchell”
“heartfelt”-- The New York Times
“a pleasant reminder of the singer-songwriter’s Grammy-winning talent” -- People Magazine
“Cole’s first new album in eight years is both a breath of fresh air and a poignant reminder of the increasing scarcity of truly thoughtful, graceful singer/songwriters, at least on the pop charts. Her warm, ripe vocals and delicately haunting tunes, with their intuitive, unpretentious nods to jazz
and world music, offer valuable lessons in the power of subtlety and restraint….something to treasure.”-- USA Today
“the entire 11-song collection is delicate and simple…” “a welcome return”-- Billboard
“a disarmingly stellar return”-- The Philadelphia Inquirer
“mature yet breezy”-- The New York Post
“smooth and sophisticated”-- The Boston Globe
