White Plains, NY - Ronald Aronson, author of “Living Without God: New Directions for Atheists, Agnostics, Secularists and the Undecided” will address the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester at its regular Sunday services at 10:30 a.m. on September 21.
Aronson is Distinguished Professor of The History of Ideas at Wayne State University in Detroit and is the author/editor of nine books. He holds a Ph.D. from Brandeis University, where he wrote his dissertation on “art and Freedom in the Philosophy of Jean Paul Sartre.” His academic areas have included philosophy, intellectual history and political theory.
The Ethical Culture Society of Westchester, founded in 1921 is a liberal religious and educational fellowship without formal creed or dogma, dedicated to bringing people of diverse beliefs and backgrounds together to work for the improvement of our world and the future of our children. Its motto is “Deed above Creed.”
The society’s address is 7 Saxon Wood Road (off Mamaroneck Avenue) in White Plains, N.Y., and visitors are welcome.
